c.1962 Marx, Batman Robin Pinball Bagatelle In Original Box
Large tin litho Batman and Robin theme Pinball (bagatelle) complete with original box. Near mint looks like it was never used. Comes with original metal rod riser (provides slight incline) and marble pin (retains marbles in chute). Features a large early 60s Batman and Robin logo with both hero's taking on "Blockbuster". Other fiends include Riddler, Catwoman, Shark, Penguin, Fox, and Vulture (lots of mean animals out there). Also lithographed images of the Batmobile, Batplane, and Commissioner Gordon. The Marx logo located at the top center of the playing field. Includes original pull-back spring plunger and replay lever. Looks like the illustrations may have been drawn by DC artist Carmine Infantino. The box is a generic type used for all Marx bagatelles of the same size. In other words nothing specific about Batman on the box, but is correct for the toy. Size: 22" x 11" x 1". Date Sold: Oct. 2010
